The more time I spend looking at 'PCI Compliant' systems the more I become skeptical that pci compliance means anything when it comes to security. Recently came across Exgenex, which offers and event registration platform. According to the company's website the product is PCI compliant. (Notified Exgenex but have not received a response.)

Read Disclosure on Google Docs
Recently I purchased the audible book Ghost in the Wires, by Kevin Mitnick. Prior to the purchase I setup Audible to use my Amazon account. However, after a couple hours Ghost in the Wires still had not shown up in the Audible app on my Android phone, or on my iPad.

A couple good quotes from a great article from Bruce Schneier.
“Security is a mindset, and looking for vulnerabilities nurtures that mindset. Deny practitioners this vital learning tool, and security suffers accordingly.” … “Anyone can design a security system that he cannot break. So when someone announces, “Here’s my security system, and I can’t break it,” your first reaction should be, “Who are you?” If he’s someone who has broken dozens of similar systems, his system is worth looking at. If he’s never broken anything, the chance is zero that it will be any good.”
